Emerging trance producer DJ Entel announces the release of his deeply personal EP, How You Broke Me. Drawing from emotional turmoil, this trance-infused project marks a significant milestone for the artist, who channels a painful breakup into a captivating musical narrative.
Inspired by a toxic ex who shattered him emotionally, DJ Entel crafted How You Broke Me as a heartfelt outlet for pent-up feelings. The EP emerged from a profoundly emotional process, involving moments of tears and cathartic release through the music, particularly the evocative piano elements. Utilising royalty-free vocal samples, the tracks were entirely self-written and produced in his home studio using a digital audio workstation. The standout piano breakdown and poignant vocals amplify the EP’s core message, making the themes of heartbreak and vulnerability even more resonant.
DJ Entel hopes listeners will connect deeply with the emotion embedded in the release, finding relatability in its honest expression of personal pain. While he believes the EP holds strong potential to resonate widely and perhaps even go viral, the introverted artist admits his challenges with promotion and marketing have led him to seek broader support.
Hailing from Denver, Colorado, USA, DJ Entel has been immersed in the music world since 2009, initially as a DJ before venturing into production in 2011. He turned serious about producing in 2025, adopting the moniker DJ Entel, a clever twist on Intel, reflecting his passion for technology and computers, with the E standing for EDM. His sound spans various EDM genres, including Drum N Bass, Techno, House, and Trance, often dictated by his mood at the time. For How You Broke Me, the style leans firmly into trance, aligning with his two favourite genres: Trance and House.
Influenced by luminaries such as Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond, DJ Irene, and numerous other EDM artists, DJ Entel traces his musical roots to a lifelong passion sparked by his late father, himself a musician. Progressing from playing trumpet and percussion to DJing and producing, he creates music that he personally craves, believing it could touch others similarly. What distinguishes him in the scene is his unwavering dedication to his craft as a true passion, coupled with a desire to share his story and potentially impact lives through his work.
